I was born at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles
on the first day of September in the year of 1981
I grew up in the San Fernando Valley
I played outside a lot when I was a kid
I’m sad that kids don’t play outside anymore
My first car was a 1992 white volvo 240 with black interior
I loved that car
I keep all cards and letters ever given to me
I’m sure some have got away
I’ve lived in my current apartment for 3 years
I love it there except they don’t allow pets
I want a kitty so bad it hurts my heartmeat
I’m 5′11″ and a half
Boys generally find this intimidating
Most guys I’ve dated have been shorter than me
I love vintage folding cameras
I have a zeiss ikonta 6×9 and a 35mm balda baldinette from the 50s
I love the “clunk” sound the shutters make
I really want a kodak retina Ia, a zeiss ikon contessa, and/or an agfa isolette
I’m a big time camera nerd
I love parks
I love swings
I hate getting sand in my shoes
That’s why I kind of hate the beach
I like it sometimes though
Like when it’s cold or at night
I used to take drives alone a lot
I would almost always end up at the beach
Gas is way too expensive to do that anymore
I have a boyfriend whom I love very much
He is also a big time nerd
He really likes sci-fi
But “cool” sci-fi, kind of
He is also a photographer
And he is awesome
He is the nicest human being I’ve ever known actually
I love school
I hated school until I went to a good school
It wasn’t until then that I realized how bad the public school system in Los Angeles is
I knew it was bad, but I’m telling you, it’s REALLY bad
I graduated from Art Center College of Design in Fall of 2008
They gave me a paper folder with a letter inside on the day I graduated
It said congratulations, your diploma will be mailed to you some time in the future
I got it in the mail a week ago
I think about the people in my life all the time
Especially the ones I rarely see or talk to
I have internal battles with myself every day
I think my inner voice is really stupid sometimes
I usually sleep in 4 or 5 hour increments
I will easily stay up all night if I’m doing something I find interesting
I have to consciously stop myself and make myself go to sleep
I can be a bit obsessive
That’s partly why I’m a photographer I’m sure
I spend the most money on books and music
I spend the least amount of money on clothes and shoes
I love cheapo shoes
Like the ones you can get at CVS
I won the ugliest sandals in a raffle at this bar one time
They are orange and bear the name Jagermeister across the top
I really hope that’s not the only thing I win in my lifetime
I do still have them
I love vintage girlscout stuff
I have a few vintage girlscout manuals full of useful information
Like how to make shadowpuppets and how to be a good hostess
There’s nothing in there about survival unfortunately
